In 1994, he entered the congregation's seminary in Wigratzbad, where he studied for two years; he finished his studies with a Licentiate in Dogmatic Theology from the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross in Rome.
Rt. Rev. Monsignor Paul Tan Chee Ing, (April 5, 1940 –) S.J., D.D., S.T.L. is second and current Roman Catholic Bishop of Diocese of Malacca-Johor.
Ordained to the priesthood in 1958, he subsequently earned a Licentiate in Theology from the Dominican House of Studies, Washington, D.C., in 1959 and a doctorate in canon law from the Pontifical University of Saint Thomas Aquinas Angelicum in Rome in 1962.
