Later in 2013, Lior is scheduled to appear at the Sydney Opera House in Compassion, an orchestral arrangement of his own songs in collaboration with composer and conductor Nigel Westlake.

In 2008, Lior toured extensively, both in his home country of Australia and abroad including feature performances at the Edinburgh Festival.
Its current music director is Israeli composer and conductor Lior Shambadal, replacing New York native conductor Irwin Hoffman in 2009.
Among his hundreds of students were the conductor Lior Shambadal, composers Erel Paz, Ella Milch-Sheriff, Deborah Rothstein Schramm, violinist Yehonatan Berick, pianists Sally Pinkas, Eugene Alcalay, Sivan Silver and Gil Garburg, Dr. Eran Lupu and many others.
