Eliakim Littell's grandfather of the same name was a captain in the American Revolution, and did good service in the defence of Springfield, New Jersey, 4 June 1780.
Republican Freeholder Steve Oroho and Assemblyman Guy R. Gregg both announced that they would pursue the Republican nomination for Littell's Senate seat in the June 2007 primary.
In addition, Littell has published a detailed intelligence report about the security organs of the Russian Federation, an analysis of Léon Degrelle's book La Campagne de Russie, influenced by the works of the sociologist Klaus Theweleit, one book with four texts written before The Kindly Ones and, finally, a short essay.

Littell has since worked as a business consultant, partnering in the firm of Brazer & Littell with Georgene Brazer, Republican municipal chairwoman of Tewksbury Township, New Jersey.

In 2002, Intrawest Corporation, a client of Brazer & Littell, worked out a deal with the state of New Jersey to preserve land on Hamburg Mountain in Vernon Township, New Jersey near the Intrawest ski resort of Mountain Creek.
By this time, Haut, along with Max Littell and Glenn Dennis had opened the International UFO Museum and Research Center.
