In 1929, she starred with Edward Buzzell in a film version of the George M. Cohan stage musical Little Johnny Jones, the title better known in revised excerpts staged in the Cohan Biopic Yankee Doodle Dandy.
He appeared on Broadway, and was hired to star in the 1929 film version of George M. Cohan's Little Johnny Jones with Alice Day.
The musical was first tried out at the Parsons Theatre in Hartford, Connecticut in October 1904 and then opened on Broadway at the Liberty Theatre on November 7, 1904.
