The song is also used in a Coca-Cola holiday commercial featuring a family of polar bears who stumble upon a festive penguin gathering.
As a single that year it had limited success (No. 6 on the Billboard Christmas chart), but built sales over successive Christmases and is listed by Billboard in the Top 100 selling Christmas songs in history, though well below the Beach Boys' 1963 Christmas single "Little Saint Nick".
It rounds up all of the tracks from 1964's The Beach Boys' Christmas Album, including alternate versions of its lead single, "Little Saint Nick", while also including the extremely rare 1974 holiday single, "Child of Winter (Christmas Song)".
