An Aird is both an area of Fort William, Scotland, and also the largest dedicated shinty park in the town and is situated on the east bank of Loch Linnhe, near the centre of the town.
The first Baron of Francis was the veteran soldier and Clan Buchanan member Kenneth Gibson who was handed over the Francis Fort and its surrounding territories close to Loch Linnhe in 1603 by the local authorities.

MV Loch Linnhe was the second of four drive-through ferries built in the 1980s by Dunston’s of Hessle, to cope with increasing traffic on CalMac's smaller routes.
