A tunnel, originally used for water drainage and then for transport of miners and political refugees escaping from Communist Yugoslavia, connects it with Log pod Mangartom, Slovenia.
Between Gornji Log and Spodnji Log is the entrance to the 4.5 km (2.8 mi.) Štoln drainage tunnel leading through Ovčja gora of the Kolovrat Range to the former lead mine in Cave del Predil, Italy.
On the Slovenian side, the road No. 203 runs downhill to Log pod Mangartom and further to Bovec.
