Edelweiss was not invited to present at Miss Hong Kong Pageant 2009 and crown her successor Sandy Lau, Miss Hong Kong 2009, instead TVB invited Miss Hong Kong 1977 Ms Loletta Chu to crown for Lau.
She is the former wife of the late tycoon and philanthropist Henry Fok's son, Timothy, with whom she has three sons, Kenneth, Eric and Jeremy.

Chu was born in Mandalay, Burma in 1958 into an ethnically Chinese family, with roots in Taishan, Guangdong, China.
