London Midland local services run as part of the cross-city Snow Hill Lines - using Class 172 units; running every 10 minutes during the daytime, and every 30 minutes on Sundays & evenings to Stourbridge Junction and Birmingham Snow Hill and Moor Street.
In a major national boundary change in 1958 the former Great Central network except those lines in Yorkshire and Lincolnshire transferred to the London Midland Region; in return the Eastern gained the former LMS lines in Lincolnshire and the present-day South Yorkshire.
The 2009 event was supported by Vue Cinema, Aspect Ratio Productions, Heart, Reelscape Films, The University of Northampton, The Film Lab, 20th Century Fox and London Midland train line.
London Midland operate the Cross-City line on behalf of Centro.
In return the London Midland gained the lines of the former Great Central Railway that lay outside Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.
