10739 Lowman (1988 JB1) is a Main-belt asteroid that was discovered by Eugene M. and Carolyn S. Shoemaker on Mary 12, 1988 and named after canopy ecologist Margaret D. Lowman.
His book, two-thirds of which Lowman claims to be citation and reproductions of declassified documents from Magic intercepts to FBI reports, argues that the intelligence available to President Roosevelt revealed that disloyalty was widespread among resident alien Japanese and even Japanese Americans during World War II (citing, for instance, the Niihau Incident).
In 1999 Dr. Lowman became the Executive Director of Marie Selby Botanical Gardens in Sarasota, Florida where she helped raise donations over 100 percent and increased membership by "friend-raising".
Lowman's ‘Paraphrase and Notes upon the Revelation of St. John’ (1737, 1745; 1791, 1807) was commended by Philip Doddridge; it formed the concluding portion of collective editions of the ‘Commentaries’ of Simon Patrick, William Lowth, Daniel Whitby, and Richard Arnald.
