There are four villages within the Cuckmere Valley: Alfriston, Litlington, Lullington and West Dean.
Lullington is a hamlet 9⅓ miles southeast of Lewes, East Sussex, England.
It was sold in the early 19th century by the Marquess of Bath and bought by William Duckworth, who rebuilt the village.
In 1363, Sir John de Gresley, gave the priory properties and land at Heathcote, Church Gresley, Castle Gresley, and Lullington, which were valued at £10 per annum; these properties and land would then pass to the priory fully on the death of their tenants.
In 1393 it was granted control of the church at Lullington, Somerset, and in 1407 Sir Walter Hungerford (later 1st Baron Hungerford) donated the advowson of the church in Rushall, Wiltshire, of which he was lord of the manor.
