Liv Mildrid Gjernes (born 1954 in Lunde, in Telemark, Norway) is a Norwegian artist and has given name to the contemporary style of decoration, sculpture, and furniture design known as Gjernes style.
Lunde was the production site of the Troll automobile, and it is also known as the birthplace of ski racer Atle Skårdal and jazz singer Torun Eriksen.
The municipality of Nome was created on 1 January 1964 when the two former municipalities of Holla and Lunde were merged.
