George Holburn Snowden

George's daughter M.L. Snowden apprenticed under him, and later received Rodin's tools.

M.L. Snowden

Her father, sculptor George Holburn Snowden, was mentored by Swiss sculptor Robert Georges Eberhard, a contemporary of Daniel Chester French and Saint Gaudens and a professional in the Rodin studios at the turn of the 19th century.


Isaac H. Snowden

Snowden then studied with a surgeon at Massachusetts General Hospital and unsuccessfully tried to re-enter Harvard in 1853.

John M. Snowden

Snowden served terms as Allegheny County Recorder and Treasurer before being elected mayor of Pittsburgh in 1825.
