In 1988, Maanam's "Sie ściemnia" became the first Polish music video to air on the international MTV.
Osjan was started at the beginning of the 1970 by Jacek Ostaszewski and Marek Jackowski (who latter moved to Maanam).

The first list was compiled and aired by Marek Niedźwiecki on 24 April 1982, with the top three songs being "I'll Find My Way Home" by Jon and Vangelis, "O! Nie rób tyle hałasu" by Maanam and "For Those About to Rock (We Salute You)" by AC/DC.
He cooperated with many Polish artists and bands such as Maanam, Kasia Nosowska, Pidzama Porno, and Habakuk.
