It is called “Eyckensis” because it was preserved during centuries in the convent of Aldeneik, near Maaseik, Belgium.
In the regions between Roermond, Maaseik (Belgium) and Heinsberg (Germany), buildings, especially old buildings, and cars were destroyed.
