The first home game broadcast from Barlow Park, Cairns was Round 13, Sunday 10 June 2012 against traditional rivals Mackay Cutters.
They, along with the Northern Pride, will be one of two expansion teams for the 2008 season of the Queensland Cup.
The 12,200 capacity stadium was funded by the Australian Government at a cost of 11.3 million and opened on 20 August 2011 at a Mackay Cutters home game.

The stadium is home to the Queensland Cup's Mackay Cutters and Queensland State League's Whitsunday Miners.
