Her last film of her short-lived career was her best remembered, due to it helping to launch the career of Mae Busch, titled The Truthful Sex, and which also starred Huntley Gordon.
Busch married three times: to actor Francis McDonald from 1915–1922; to John Earl Cassell from 1926–29; and to civil engineer Thomas C. Tate from 1936 until her death.
Sjöström wanted to change the leading actress, but Goldwyn Pictures was already committed to a contract with Mae Busch, who was to star as Bessie Collister.
