Maid of the Mist

The boat involved in the rescue (known as Maid II) was retired from service in 1983 and relocated to the Amazon River, where it served as a missionary ship for some years.

Niagara College

The College has three campuses: the Welland Campus in Welland, the Niagara-on-the-Lake Campus in Niagara-on-the-Lake, and the Maid of the Mist Campus in Niagara Falls which serves as a dedicated industry development and training resource for Niagara's hospitality and tourism sector.

William M. Windsor

From 2005 to 2008, Windsor and Alcatraz Media, Inc. were embroiled in a dispute over the Niagara Parks Commission’s decision to award a long-term lease of 25 years and New York State's decision to award a long-term license of 40 years (with an agreement entered into in 2002) to Maid of the Mist officials James V. Glynn and Christopher Glynn without going through the process of competitive open bidding.


Wheatley, Ontario

Hike Metal Products, a shipbuilding/refitting/fabricating company based at the harbour, is the builder of the Maid of the Mist, the vessel used at Niagara Falls for the tours under the great Canadian waterfall.
