A by-pass of Paoli, which has been tentatively numbered as SR 237, is one of the state's Major Moves projects scheduled to begin construction in 2012.
A $17.5 million Major Moves reconstruction project began in May 2006 on SR 267 between I-70 and US 40 in Plainfield.
In March 2006, Daniels signed a bill known as "Major Moves" that leased the Indiana East–West Toll Road, but also included a compromise on constructing I-69 in southwest Indiana.

The Indiana Department of Transportation, as part of the Major Moves transportation program, in 2011 completed a four-lane, limited access highway bypass that carries U.S. Route 231 around the west side of Dale.
