Malusare is a Maratha clan hailing mostly from Maharashtra and neighbouring states; it is known for its most famous son, Sardar Tanaji Malusare.
Tanaji was one of Shivaji's closest friends hailing from the Malusare clan; the two had known each other since childhood.
