In August 2009 she was purchased by Nigle Jolly, of Stoney Creek Shipping Co. Ltd and is contracted out by the Pitcairn Islands Government for 4 scheduled trips out of New Zealand to deliver cargo supplies to Pitcairn Island and also carries passengers to and from Pitcairn Island out of Mangareva totaling 8 scheduled trips to and from the Island each year.
While the majority of the population that was taken to work as slaves in the Peruvian mines died of diseases and bad treatment in the 1860s, hundreds of other Easter Islanders who left for Mangareva in the 1870s and 1880s to work as servants or labourers, adopted the local form of Tahitian-Pidgin.
This species is widespread in the Indo-Pacific, from the Red Sea to Mangareva Islands and southern Japan.
A year and a half later, on 27 March 1866, he settled on the island as a full priest, accompanied by Hippolyte Roussel and three Mangarevan converts.
Other locations included in this collection are Tahiti, Moorea, Bora Bora and Mangareva, as well as the less frequented Île Saint-Paul, Macquarie Island, Kerguelen Islands, and the Balleny Islands.
