A cover of the song was recorded by Italian singer Elisa in 2003 for the official soundtrack of the movie Remember Me, My Love, directed by Gabriele Muccino.

Answer Me

The new song, entitled "Answer Me, My Love," was again recorded by Laine and Whitfield, but became a bigger U.S. hit for Nat King Cole in 1954.

Arise, My Love

Filming began in June 1940 and the script was continuously updated to incorporate actual events, such as the sinking of the S.S. Athenia and the signing of the armistice between France and Germany in the Forest of Compiègne.

It won the Academy Award for Best Story (Benjamin Glazer and Hans Székely), and was nominated for Best Music (Victor Young), Best Cinematography (Charles Lang) and Best Art Direction (Hans Dreier and Robert Usher).
