Ford even co-wrote "Sunday Sound," a track featured on Robinson's solo debut, New Earth Mud.

Upon the conclusion of that tour, Ford quit the Chris Stills Band to form Federale, a joint venture between himself and Luther Russell (who were eventually joined by drummer Jimi Bott and bassist Freddy Trujillo).
