After moving to New York City, Morello worked with numerous notable jazz musicians including Johnny Smith, Tal Farlow, Stan Kenton, Phil Woods, Sal Salvador, Marian McPartland, Jay McShann, Art Pepper, Howard McGhee, and others.
During this time he made his final recordings with names such as Earl Hines, George Barnes, Ross Tompkins, Dave McKenna, Marian McPartland, Scott Hamilton, Leon Redbone, and most notably Zoot Sims.
The station also carries selected NPR and other syndicated programs such as: Marian McPartland's Piano Jazz; Riverwalk Jazz, hosted by Jim Cullum; Jazz from Lincoln Center, hosted by Wynton Marsalis; and Dee Dee Bridgewater's Jazz Set.
She has performed and collaborated with jazz luminaries Randy Brecker, George Mraz, Benny Golson, Rufus Reid, Marian McPartland, Roy Hargrove, Eddie Henderson, Buster Williams and Al Foster.
Nevertheless, he remained the "Jazz Priest" to the end, producing benefit concerts by Marian McPartland and other musicians for Straight and Narrow with the help of his longtime friend George Wein.
