With the help of Beat Box pioneers Doug E. Fresh, Wise, Biz Markie, and The Fat Boys, Breath Control traces this art form from its basic beat beginnings in the Eighties to its present day multi-layered, polyrhythmatic figurehead's Rahzel and Skratch of the Hip Hop group The Roots.
In 1991 along with friends and fellow DJs Jenö, Thomas Bullock, Markie, Alan & Trish he founded the Wicked Sound System, and with the fellow members of Wicked organized the monthly Full Moon events that led to increased underground interest in rave culture.
Biz Markie, a rapper signed to Warner Bros. Records, had sampled a portion of the music from the song "Alone Again (Naturally)" by singer/songwriter Gilbert O'Sullivan, for use in "Alone Again", a track from Markie's third album, I Need a Haircut.
In 2004 it was reported that Lewis would release her debut solo single "Never Felt Like This Before" on July 5, which would precede her untitled debut solo album on which she'd worked with numerous writers and producers including: Basement Jaxx, Biz Markie, K-Gee, Bacon and Quarmby and Trevor Jackson.
