Designed by golf course architect Martin Hawtree the course was named "Best New Course" in Ontario for 2008 by Ontario Golf Magazine and Fairways Magazine, and won Scoregolf Magazines 3rd place for "Best New" course in Canada.
The course was built in 1996 alongside the building of the Wynyard Estates development and was designed by Hawtree.
