4 unusual facts about Masters of Harmony

Masters of Harmony

Placing 4th in their first international competition in Kansas City (1989), they won gold the following year in San Francisco (1990).

Founded in 1986 with a few dozen men, they rose to stardom under the tutelage of director Dr. Greg Lyne.

They were directed by Dr. Lyne until 1997, Jeff Oxley (now of Max Q, at the time of Acoustix) directed their fourth gold, and the fifth through eighth were under the direction of Mark Hale of Michigan Jake.

The chapter’s original name, Foothill Cities, was derived from the series of towns that ran along the southern base of the San Gabriel Mountains, an area where most of the organizers then lived.
