In the course of this time overlap, and in view of its close links with the Alexandrian and other oriental churches, it inherited much from Egypt – if not the oldest existing version of Manetho’s classification of Egyptian dynasties (currently in the Matenadaran, Armenia’s national depository of manuscripts).

Matenadaran

The earliest mention of the term Matenadaran, which means "repository of manuscripts" in Armenian, was recorded in the writings of the fifth century A.D. historian Ghazar Parpetsi, who noted the existence of a repository at the Etchmiadzin Cathedral, where Greek and Armenian language texts were kept.

Momik

Of the manuscripts authored by Momik, only several survive: one is found at the repository of the Mkhitarist Order in Vienna and three others are found at the Mashtots Institute of Ancient Manuscripts in Yerevan, Armenia.
