In May 2011, Al Shalan graduated from the University of Miami, with a BSBA Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, majoring in Mathematical economics.
He received an A.B. (summa) from Harvard in 1988, studying under Benjamin M. Friedman, and went on to study at the London School of Economics (MSc. in Econometrics and Mathematical Economics) where he was a recipient of a Marshall Scholarship.
He studied Mathematical Economics at the University of Essex in the 1980s and did his PhD (theoretical economics of cost-benefit analysis) at the Indian Statistical Institute, New Delhi.
Dr. Kaminski holds an M.S. degree in International Economics and a Ph.D. degree in Mathematical Economics from the Main School of Planning and Statistics in Warsaw (which has since been renamed Warsaw School of Economics), and an MBA from Fordham University in New York.
