He was nominated for three César Awards for Best Cinematography for the Mathieu Amalric's films Wimbledon Stage (2001) and On Tour (2010), and Anne Fontaine's Coco Before Chanel (2009).
In 2012, she played the principle role of Vanda in the French film adaption of Venus in Furs, written by Polanski, for which she received much acclaim as a vulgar yet sensual maîtresse of Thomas (Mathieu Amalric).
He has three sons, two with his ex-wife Jeanne Balibar, and one with his girlfriend, a writer, with whom he currently lives in Belleville, Paris.
