Producer Ivan Tors filmed the comedy at his Miami studios with cameos provided by Dean Martin (Columbia's Matt Helm), Flipper, director Andrew Marton as himself, and a Cary Grant impersonator played by Ray Anthony.
"I'm Not the Marrying Kind", Martin's recording of Lalo Schifrin's theme song to the 1966 Matt Helm film he starred in, Murderer's Row, appears on this album.
Following the success of his albums, he was contracted by Columbia Pictures where he did such films as Hurry Sundown (film) and two Matt Helm pictures.
Mike Connors recalled that Columbia Pictures gave him the lead after he'd been a strong contender for the role of Matt Helm that Dean Martin played.
