Originating from South London, Alex Pilkington and Simon Shippey met at Alleyn's School in Dulwich, and started the band in 1995 with originally Crispin Weir on guitar and Max Tundra on bass, along with a succession of drummers.
Kicking a Dead Pig is a remix album from Scottish band Mogwai consisting of remixes of previously released tracks (primarily from Young Team) by various artists, including Alec Empire, My Bloody Valentine, and Max Tundra.
Max Tundra - Members have acted as backing musicians for this electronic composer, and his song 'Acorns' is a posthumous tribute to the band.
