In March 2011, Mazda initiated a recall of 65,000 Mazda6 automobiles after webs of this species were found to have clogged fuel system ventilation tubes.
Mazda's Hofu plants in Yamaguchi Prefecture, Japan produce the Mazda6 for international markets from February 2002 to August 2007.
