Damon Powell (born September 24, 1990) is an American Basketball player who graduated from McClymonds High School and has been widely recognized as the best dunker in the 2009 class.
The McClymonds varsity basketball team won a state Tournament of Champions held in 1980 at the Oracle Arena.

McClymonds' health center, founded by Children's Hospital doctor and UC Berkeley alumna Barbara Staggers and named after activist Chappell Hayes was opened in 2005.

He was a graduate of Oakland's famed McClymonds High School, attended by Baseball Hall of Fame outfielder Frank Robinson (a Pinson teammate in the major leagues for nine years) and Basketball Hall of Fame center Bill Russell.
