Early during 2013 US Pilot season, Lewis was cast in ABC and Warner Bros. drama television pilot "Westside" directed by McG.
Neither Wright, Pegg, nor Stevenson were at any point approached regarding the proposed American remake, which Wright had dubbed "McSpaced", due to the involvement of film director McG.

It was played on the same day as Elizabeth II's Coronation between rounds 6 and 7 of the Victorian Football League's 1953 season with all games played at the MCG.
