After Krysálida, Leo formed with Patricio Babasasa (drums) and Edu Fernández (bass) Azabel, a band with a more aggressive style, close to death, and it was at this time when the idea of making a version of Mecano's song "Hijo de la luna" was brought up, proposal that Stravaganzza would bring to life ten years later.

In this year they play again at ViñaRock festival, where they perform for the first time their version of Mecano's "Hijo de la luna", with a great acceptance by the public.
Hassan has recently finished filming his first cinematic role in Egypt entitled Mecano, which is scheduled for worldwide release on January 28, 2009.

Mouquet has composed and produced for different artists such as Josh Groban (Closer), (Awake), Ana Torroja (Mecano), Mell (Japan), Chitose Hajime (Japan), Sa Dingding (Deep China).
Along with Hombres G, Los Rebeldes, and Mecano, Los Toreros Muertos achieved notable cross-over airplay onto the US military radio stations in Rota (see Naval Station Rota, Spain), Torrejon (now Madrid-Torrejón Airport), and Zaragoza (now Zaragoza Airport) that were part of the AFRTS in Europe in the mid-1980s.
Throughout the competition, she received both good and bad critics, her best performance being Hijo de la Luna, by Spanish group Mecano.
