Mediabase and Nielsen BDS will continue to describe the station as Adult Top 40.
However, as of May 2013, KVIL has leaned more hot adult contemporary/Adult Top 40 with the recent format tweaking to music from the 1990s to right now known on-air as "The New Sound of 103.7 KVIL" (the station is still listed as "AC" according to Mediabase & Nielsen BDS).
Mediabase is also the primary programming tool for nationally syndicated programs like Open House Party with John Garabedian, After Midnite, and Nighttime with Delilah.
At first, KOPW was reported to R&R as an urban contemporary station, but has since started adding artists like Lady Gaga, 3OH!3, Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, David Guetta and Britney Spears to its playlist and has evolved to a broader Rhythmic direction, and in October 2009 was added to both Mediabase and Nielsen BDS' Rhythmic panels.
As of February 2012, the station has not been listed on the Mediabase urban AC add board yet, a similar fate happens with sister adult contemporary station WSB-FM.
By 2012, WBBM-FM was moved to the Mediabase contemporary hit radio panel; however, it continued to report to the Nielsen BDS rhythmic contemporary panel until November 2012 when BDS moved the station back to the Mainstream Top 40 panel.
As of March 2012, WEZF switched to hot adult contemporary per Mediabase reports, making WEZF have the station's second run in the hot AC format.
By 2005, WGER had evolved from mainstream AC to its current Hot AC sound, although it would be several months before the station stopped reporting to Radio & Records/Mediabase 24/7's Adult Contemporary airplay panel and switched to the Hot AC panel.
They were an urban contemporary until the 2000s, when they changed their direction to rhythmic contemporary and finally to contemporary hit radio in 2012 as the station was moved to the Mediabase contemporary hit radio panel.
By March 2012, the station was placed on the Mediabase add board.
Mediabase & Arbitron now report WQBK-FM/WQBJ as an active rock station, replacing WZMR; while Nielsen BDS reports the station on the mainstream rock panel as of 2012, meaning active rock was pretty much replaced by mainstream rock on this station.
By March 2012, Philadelphia stopped having WISX as the market's only hot adult contemporary, and WSTW flipped to hot adult contemporary when Mediabase made a panel shift on WSTW from top 40 to hot AC.
