Writing and developing acts came naturally to David and at the age of 17, he launched his sister's show Melinda Saxe - First Lady of Magic at Bourbon Street Hotel and Casino making him the youngest producer in Las Vegas’ history.
In 1995 she was chosen by producer Gary Ouellet as one of the acts for the second of his World's Greatest Magic television specials broadcast on the NBC network.
Examples include a trick in which Melinda Saxe escaped from a tank filled with snakes during the 1998 television special The World's Most Dangerous Magic and a performance in the sequel show the following year in which the magician Margo was shackled in a coffin filled with rats and escaped to re-appear from behind the audience.

He wrote and directed a number of big Las Vegas stage shows, including Melinda "First Lady of Magic" starring Melinda Saxe, and a show with magician Steve Wyrick.
