In addition to playing the soap opera, Chelsea who are Protestant is busy singing with BBB (Bukan Bintang Biasa, Korean: 보통하지 별, Botong Hachi Byul), a Korean wave-type group singer made up from younger soap opera stars such as: Laudya Cynthia Bella, Raffi Ahmad, Dimas Beck dan Ayushita under the guidance of singer and songwriter Melly Goeslaw.
He also began to explore the world of singing with vocal group by Melly Goeslaw Bukan Bintang Biasa together with Raffi Ahmad, Chelsea Olivia Wijaya, Dimas Beck, and Ayushita.
With one of his wives, whom he later divorced, he had Melly Goeslaw.
Goeslaw is also active scouting for new singers and assisting others, having supported the careers of pop singers Irwansyah and Acha Septriasa.

She later switched to songwriting while in high school, writing lyrics on napkins and schoolbooks and recording her humming on a Walkman because she could not play any instruments.
