Celestair Group represents an alliance of three airlines under the Aga Khan Fund for Economic Development, AKFED, and benefits from technical and operative support from other airlines owned by the Aga Khan, such as Meridiana and Eurofly of Italy.

Two of them, titled "Due racconti" have been published by Editrice.i.l.a. Palma, (Palermo, Italy and São Paulo, Brazil) in the "Meridiana" series.
The "Marina branch" was demolished in 1989 to make way for the construction of La Vila Olímpica del Poblenou and the B-10 motorway, after which Line R1 adopted its present route by being re-routed through the centre of Barcelona using the Aragó tunnel (:ca:Túnel d'Aragó) and the Meridiana tunnel (:ca:Túnel de Meridiana).
