Meryl Tankard

2002 = Merryland, for Netherlands Dance Theatre 3; 2003 Wild Swans, commission from the Australian Ballet and the Sydney Opera House, a full length work based on a Hans Christian Andersen fairy story to a commissioned score by Elena Kats-Chernin ;

Tankard also revived Echo Point and Two Feet, collaborated with the theatre director Pierre Bokor on Circo (1991), and created choreography for Opera Australia's Death in Venice (1989), and made Sloth as part of Seven Deadly Sins - a program by seven contemporary Australian choreographers filmed for television by the ABC in 1993.


Dancenorth

She still continues her association with Meryl Tankard and over the past few years has worked with her to remount productions all over the world as well as assisting her in London with the choreography of the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical 'The Beautiful Game (1999).

Sydney Dance Company

In December 2007, Executive Director Noel Staunton launched the company's 2008 season, announcing three guest choreographers, Meryl Tankard, Rafael Bonachela and Aszure Barton, to create new works for the company.
