The built-up area of Metamorfosi is continuous with those of the neighbouring suburbs Lykovrysi, Irakleio and Nea Filadelfeia.
Of particular interest is the cave "Trypa tou Voria" (English: Hole of the North) which was discovered by the Italian Speleological Group "SPARVIERE" in the late 1990s.

Another important area is "Pigadia" (English: Wells) on the southern boundaries of the settlement.

The village is built at the foot of the mountain of Koulochera on the outskirts of the Parnonas range.
