Zobel has been a consistent top performer in academic contests such the Metrobank-Mathematics Teachers Association of the Philippines-Department of Education Math Challenge, the Discovery Channel Whiz Quiz Contest, numerous AMA Computer University Information Technology Contests, and the Inter-school Computer Science QuizBits Contest of the Philippine Science High School, among others.
Their expertise is engineering architecture which currently includes 9 high-rise buildings including the first class residential condominium project of The Metrobank Group at the reclamation area along Roxas Blvd., Manila, the Bay Gardens.
It is a subsidiary of Metrobank and is the second-largest savings bank in the Philippines.

The 20-billion (PHP) tower is estimated to start construction by late 2008, by Federal Land, Inc. (led by its president Alfred Ty), on a 27-hectare North Bonifacio district lot (jointly owned by the Metrobank Group of Companies and the Bases Conversion Development Authority, BCDA).
The station will be located near several establishments including banks (Banco de Oro, East West Bank and Metrobank), the Bureau of Internal Revenue and Social Security System Caloocan district office, Our Lady of Grace Academy, Notre Dame of Greater Manila, World Citi Colleges Caloocan campus and Philippine Cultural College Annex.
Mapa is also the chairperson of the Board of Advisers of the Metropolitan Bank and Trust Company (Metrobank) and was once governor of the Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP).
