As to the Mémoires they had already been translated by Le Petit and Des Ifs (1711); in this form they have been reprinted in the collections of Petitot, Michaud and Buchon.

In 2002, Mr. Michaud retired as Chief Justice of Quebec and joined the law firm Ogilvy Renault as counsel.

Michaud is also Chair of the Hearing Committee, Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada, previously known as Investment Dealers Association of Canada, Quebec District.
He was born at Cap-Pelé, New Brunswick, the son of Placide Gaudet and Marie Vienneau dit Michaud.
In 1997, the two majority shareholders of Réno-Dépôt Inc., the Michaud family and Molson Companies Limited, sold their interest in the company to the French group Castorama S.A. In 1998, the British group Kingfisher PLC acquired a large block of shares from the Castorama S.A. group to become the majority shareholder.
