MicroProse

Stealey went on to found an independent game company Interactive Magic (also specializing in vehicle simulators and strategy games), while Andy Hollis departed for Origin Systems, and Sandy Petersen joined id Software.

The MicroProse UK's former main office in Chipping Sodbury was closed in 2002, followed by the company's former headquarters in Hunt Valley, Maryland in 2003.


Andy Hollis

He began his career at MicroProse Software, where he was responsible for games such as Kennedy Approach, Gunship, F-15 Strike Eagle II, F-19 Stealth Fighter and F-15 Strike Eagle III, as well as science fiction titles Lightspeed and Hyperspeed.

Bruce Shelley

At MicroProse, he was Sid Meier's assistant designer for Railroad Tycoon (1990), Covert Action (1990), and Civilization (1991).

Falcon 4.0

The game was originally designed and produced by Steve Blankenship and Gilman Louie and published under the MicroProse label.

Grand Prix 4

Grand Prix 4, commonly known as GP4 was released for the PC on June 21, 2002, is currently the last Formula One racing simulator released by the developer Geoff Crammond and the MicroProse label.

Magic: The Gathering video games

The game is notable as being the last game the esteemed game designer Sid Meier (Civilization, Railroad Tycoon) worked on while employed by MicroProse, though his involvement was short.

Vicious Cycle Software

Vicious Cycle was founded in 2000 by Eric Peterson, Dave Ellis, Marc Racine and Wayne Harvey after layoffs at the local MicroProse development studio (then a Hasbro Interactive studio) forced several game developers into finding other work.

X-COM: Genesis

Production took place in the original MicroProse offices in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and the game was planned "sometime for 2001".
