Rhodes also became a reporter for Midlands Today alongside her Inside Out duties and, in 2012, she became the main presenter for Midlands Today when Suzanne Virdee left the programme.
Blake also regularly filled in for Nick Owen as presenter of the main edition of Midlands Today, and had occasionally presented the BBC Breakfasteditions in addition to presenting the Midlands regional segments of the BBC's annual Children in Need telethon with Shefali Oza and Sarah Falkland.
She returned to Central News West as a reporter, presenter & producer before joining the BBC's Midlands Today programme in April 2001, presenting late night bulletins before becoming a main presenter a year later, alongside Nick Owen.
