His work on the Mimbres and Sikyátki pottery styles eventually led to the reproduction of many of these traditional forms and images.
His works, which have often been referred to as "pottery jewels", are notable for the use of Mimbres designs on sienna miniatures, and for the chemical treatment of various clays which produce different colors when kiln-fired.
Together they led the revival of ancient pottery forms including the Mimbres, Tularosa and other various cultures in the Anasazi region.
