While in Berlin, he attended a public lecture on rocketry by Rudolf Nebel on behalf of Germany's amateur rocket group, the Verein für Raumschiffahrt (VfR - "Spaceflight Society") and joined the group straight away, becoming very active in its efforts to build a working rocket that resulted in the Mirak and Repulsor rockets, providing his family's farm as a testing ground.
The contemporary chronicler Dust Muhammad mentioned that Aqa Mirak along with Mir Musavvir did wall paintings for Prince Sam Mirza's palace in Tabriz and illustrations for royal manuscripts of Firdawsi's Shahnameh ('Book of kings') and Nizami's Khamsa ('Five poems').
His ancestors Syed Ahmad Andrabi (who was great grand father of Syed Mirak Andrabi)had migrated from Andarab, ( a valley located in the southern part of Baghlan province in the northeastern Afghanistan) along with 700 syed's with Mir Sayyid Ali Hamadani in '781 A.H = 1379 C.E.' (in Reign of Sultan Qutbuddin) for the spread of Islam.
