Dish recorded Mabel Sagittarius with producer Mitch Easter (REM), released on Engine/Crypt Records in 1994.

Insanity Wave

Their third full-length album, The Minor League, was recorded in North Carolina with Mitch Easter at his Fidelitorium Studios, and was released on the band's own Elmer Music label in 2000.

In the summer of 2007 the band visited Mitch Easter to record an album slated for release later in the year.

Mitch Easter

As a producer, he is probably best known for his work with R.E.M. from 1981 through 1984, though he has also worked with many other acts including Ben Folds Five, Pylon, Helium, Pavement, Suzanne Vega, Game Theory, Marshall Crenshaw, The Connells, Velvet Crush, Ken Stringfellow (of The Posies), and Birds of Avalon.

The final recording of the album took place in Mitch Easter's studios in North Carolina with Easter making contributions to the vocals, before a singer, Ken Stringfellow, was recruited.

The Someloves

Mitch Easter had planned to come to Australia to start the recording but had to cancel a week before he was due, after a tornado hit his hometown.

Mather had plans for the second single and sent it to Mitch Easter (who Mather admired through his band Let's Active and his work with other bands like The dBs), with a request that he mix The Someloves single.


The Cosmopolitans

These tracks were recorded by Sims on keyboards and fellow North Carolina musicians Mitch Easter and Chris Stamey on drums and guitars.
