He married Huguette Oligny in 1973 and is the grandfather of actress and pop singer Mitsou Gélinas.

Jean-Pierre Isaac has written and/or produced music for many artists, notably the French Gilbert Montagné, Quebec’s Mitsou, Les BB, Celine Dion, Cindy Daniel, Marie Carmen, Mario Pelchat, Judith Berard, Scripture (his solo project featured on "Cafe del Mar", and released album No Word Needed), and many more.

She also joined the cast of L’Enfant Prodige, a movie about pianist André Mathieu, in which she played Vivianne Jobin, one of Mathieu's mistresses.

By June 15, 2012, Mitsou left the morning show of the station after 12 years.
